Use of zinc ingots

1. Galvanizing: Zinc has excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion, so it is widely used in surface coatings of steel and steel structures, such as galvanized sheets. This coating is widely used in automobiles, construction, ships, light industry and other industries.
2. Manufacturing copper alloys: Zinc is used to manufacture copper alloys such as brass, which are widely used in automobile manufacturing and machinery industries. The emergence of zinc-copper-titanium alloys, whose comprehensive mechanical properties have approached or reached the level of aluminum alloys, brass, and gray cast iron, is widely used in the production of small hardware.
3. Casting zinc alloys: Zinc alloys are mainly used for die castings, which are used in automobiles, light industry and other industries. The processing performance of many zinc alloys is relatively good, and the pass processing rate can reach 60%-80%. The medium pressure performance is superior, deep drawing can be carried out, and it has self-lubricating properties, which prolongs the life of the mold.
4. Manufacturing zinc oxide: Zinc is used to manufacture zinc oxide, accounting for about 11% of the total zinc consumption. Zinc oxide is widely used in rubber, coatings, enamel, medicine, printing, fiber and other industries.
5. Manufacturing dry batteries: Zinc is used to manufacture dry batteries in the form of zinc cakes and zinc plates, accounting for about 13% of the total zinc consumption. Zinc-manganese dioxide batteries use the chemical properties of zinc and use zinc alloy as the battery shell, which is both a container for the battery electrolyte and participates in the battery reaction to form the battery anode.
